Namaste all...Jai Shri Krishna...
'Namaskaram' or 'Namaste' is an old Indian tradition to show respect or greetings to meet known or unknown people to start a conversation. It's an Indian way which starts with both hands or palms pressed together, thumbs closed towards the chest, body slightly bows towards the front. This gesture is called 'Anjali Mudra' in Yogashastra. In the temple, we use the same way to pray to God. Hindus believe that it is the most scientific way to take attention ourselves towards God. Showing our devotion, love, respect & humility towards God & also mankind. It also helps to gain spiritual components, making faster spiritual progress, reduce ego is.
'Namaskaram or Namaskar' shows to greet & meet people from soul or heart. It generally used to greet a group of people. It shows more love & respects but on the other hand, 'Namaste' is used to show traditional greetings to a single person. It means 'may our mind or soul meets'. It not used in every part of India. In Sanskrit, used 'Namaskaram or Namaste' rather than 'Namaskar'. It activated the 'Sattva' components in our body.
